Greetings Earthlings, Hope all is well.
I've been wondering about the significance of a blog now that Facebook is so easy and the response is better. Thinking about things like...should I blog anymore? Is anyone paying attention? Is everybody on FB? Your thoughts could be helpful.
Today's post is the cover of this weeks the Weekly Standard.
The cover story is about internet stars /celebrities who make a living because their videos go viral. They are not really recognized for any talent but rather they just so happened to be in a specific moment and someone posts it in on Youtube.
They even have conventions about this stuff. ROFL con is one convention each year. The celebs I painted are called Memes.
So the idea was to draw them all mugging for the camera. I had about two days and it was tight.
Composing a cover is terribly difficult at times with the logo and the mailing label and heading. Throw in the mix five guys and you have problems to solve.
GOtta run. God is good and it's good to be held by the King and married to the queen Krissy.

Hey Thomas, I agree with Adrian, I think your blog is great and even though facebook is good I hope that you will continue to use your blog in addition to it! Keep up the great work and God bless:)

I love your Blog and make sure I check in every few days to see if there is a new post. I can't get enough of your caricatures and find your work a great inspiration.
I'm not on Facebook myself but everyone keeps telling that I have to get on it as it will drum up more art business for myself. I guess it won't be too long before I join up.

Hello Mr Fluharty,
You're blog is one of the reasons I still check my blogger account activity. I would personally like to see you continue blogging. Especially since anything you put up on Facebook, Facebook owns it as well as all the rights to it. I would stay away from that if I were you. You're too good to get used by Facebook. I'm not saying it will happen. But if it does, well that'd be no fun.

Facebook is great for a quick glance, but I read blogs for some real content. I think the best thing to to is to share each new blog post in your Facebook. And it's quick and easy- Just get a Facebook Share button and click on it!
Blogging is good. Facebook bad. Your art is amazing! God is AWESOME.
